For news releases, don’t italicize (or underline) the titles of books, periodicals, chapters, articles, poems, songs and musical pieces, etc. Use quotation marks, following AP style.
Standard usage for a more formal style, used by Columns, is to use italics for long works and quotation marks for short ones.
